Pregnancy is a time in a woman's life when her body goes through huge changes, physically, mentally and hormonally. As the developing foetus grows, her body adapts. It is at this time that any misalignments in the pelvis, can give rise to pelvic pain either in the sacro-iliac joints or in the pubic symphysis region at the front. Correct alignment of the pelvis means that the baby has optimal room to position himself, for a vaginal birth. Check out the video below which shows the muscles of the pelvic floor, which explains how important ti is for the pelvis to be aligned correctly for those muscles to be able to work at their optimum in childbirth. A vaginal birth gives baby the best start in life.
